KOTA BHARU, May 17 -- The Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Muhammad V today presented a donation of RM300,000 to the ‘Tabung Serambi Mekah’ fund as a show of solidarity with the Palestinians who continue to be oppressed by the Israeli Zionist regime.
The Kelantan Menteri Besar’s Office, in a statement said the donation was presented by Kelantan Royal Household Comptroller Datuk Tengku Azmi Tengku Jaafar to Menter Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
The presentation ceremony was also witnessed by State Islamic Development, Dakwah, Information and Public Relations Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud and Sultan Muhammad V’s senior private secretary Datuk Nik Shafriman Nik Hassan.
Ahmad expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Sultan Muhammad V for the contribution.
“The contribution also demonstrates His Highness’ concern over the ongoing incursion and attacks by Israel against the Palestinians in Al-Aqsa,” he said.
