KANGAR, April 28 --Telekom Malaysia (TM) Berhad contributed RM211,062 in business tithe for the year 2019 to the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs).
MAIPs, in a statement issued here today, said a cheque for the amount was handed over by Perlis/Kedah TM deputy manager Mohd Shahfari Ahmad to the Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail at the Al-Muhammadi Mosque, Jejawi Sungai Adam, here yesterday.
Also present was MAIPs chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor.
At the event, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also handed over tithe contribution from MAIPs, comprising cash, rice and other food items, to 30 asnaf (tithe recipients) , as well as witnessed the presentation of 500 food packs for the breaking of fast by TM Berhad for distribution to the asnaf.
