KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 -- Bank Islam through the ‘2021 Bank Islam AMAL Ihtimam Ramadan’ initiative distributed 220 breaking-of-fast food packs to Bernama staff here today.
Group Corporate Communications assistant vice president Omar Atin said the contribution was a token of gratitude to its media partners.
"Apart from handing over breaking-of-fast packs, we will also hold a ‘bubur lambuk’ programme with (the management committee of) Masjid Jamek Kampung Bharu tomorrow, where we will sponsor 15 large pots of bubur lambuk which will be distributed to front line staff and the public," he said.
Omar said the group, through the Ramadan Fest@SWADD programme, was also providing 300 free food packs daily to Muslims around the city who could not get home in time to break their fast.
He also expressed hope that the COVID-19 pandemic would end soon, and the situation returned to normal, so that the group could better serve its stakeholders.
