SEREMBAN, April 16 – The COVID-19 pandemic, despite affecting the business community, has not forced any of the MARA entrepreneurs in Negeri Sembilan to close shop.
Negeri Sembilan MARA deputy director (Development) Bedah Mamat said as of last year, there were 6,000 MARA entrepreneurs in the state, with some of them having changed the type of their business.
"There are also those who have changed their business strategy by switching to online platforms such as GrabFood and Foodpanda applications," she told reporters after the MARA Prihatin Ramadan 2021 programme here today.
She said MARA also appointed consultants to conduct courses and motivate the entrepreneurs to persevere in overcoming the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They are also encouraged to promote their businesses online through Facebook, Instagram and Shopee platforms, she added.
On the programme today, Bedah said a total of 115 recipients,comprising 35 asnaf families and 80 students from the B40 group received donations in the form of cash and essential items.
He explained that a total of RM20,250 in contributions was obtained from Rural Capital berhad, Yayasan Pelajaran MARA and MARA entrepreneurs.
