KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 -- For the past two months food delivery rider Syed Izzat Izzudin, who was killed after being hit by a fallen tree branch yesterday, has been the family sole breadwinner after his father could not work following a surgery, said his mother Inang Suhana Abu Bakar.
In the 4 pm incident, Syed Izzat, 20, was on his way from Jalan Damai Jasa towards Taman Len Seng when he was hit by a fallen tree branch near Petronas Alam Damai, Cheras.
Inang Suhana, 42, said Syed Izzat, who died at the scene, was a filial son in helping the family.
“I am sad beyond words and I am still shocked over his death. All this while, I watched on television and saw on social media (the incident of a fallen tree) but did not expect it to happen to my own child,” she told Bernama today.
Syed Izzat’s remains will be buried at the Alam Damai Muslim Cemetery once a post-mortem at the Hospital Cancelor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia completed.
