SEREMBAN, April 11 -- Kuala Pilah Member of Parliament Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith has apologised for falling asleep during a Khatam and Huffaz graduation ceremony for students of Sekolah Menengah Agama Sains Kuala Pilah which was held at Palm Mall near here yesterday.
According to his special officer, Farahiah Zubir, the Deputy Works Minister was not feeling well yesterday, but insisted on turning up for the event and had taken some medication before going there.
“Datuk Eddin Syazlee apologised for falling asleep at the event,” she said when contacted by Bernama today.
A video had gone viral showing an image of the deputy minister asleep in his chair and did not get up when he was called by the master of ceremony to officiate the event.
