KUALA TERENGGANU, March 24 -- Institut Teknologi Petroleum Petronas (Instep) today launched a book entitled 'The Inspiring 40 Years and Beyond' in conjunction with its 40th anniversary.
Petronas Vice President of Group Human Resource Management, Farehana Hanapiah said the book featured Instep's evolutions from a temporary training school founded in 1981 to an internationally recognised technical learning centre.
"Over the past four decades, Instep has been Petronas' key partner to become a leading global oil and gas player by producing highly skilled workforce in low -carbon and renewable energy of the future," she said in a statement today, adding that the book also outlines the institute's achievements, experiences and aspirations of the management in supporting Petronas' sustainable development agenda.
Instep's 40th-anniversary celebration was launched virtually by Farehana, who is also Petronas Technical Training Sdn Bhd board chairman, and Instep chief executive officer Idris Ibrahim.
To date, Instep has produced over 130,000 skilled and professional technical workers in the oil and gas field who hailed from 35 countries.
