KUANTAN, Jan 25 -- Pahang police are tightening control at the rat trails and state’s border areas with 24-hour monitoring daily during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period since last Friday.
State police chief, Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said 13 roadblocks had been set up with the police car patrol teams also tasked with patrolling the federal and state roads, especially in the oil palm plantation areas.
"We are also focusing on the rat trails and state’s border areas with the patrol teams moving from one rat trail to another in monitoring the situation," he told reporters, here, today.
Meanwhile, Abd Jalil said 2,348 applications for cross-state travel were received yesterday, out of which, 85 had to be rejected for giving invalid reasons.
He also reminded that any party wishing to provide post-flood aid to the affected residents in Pahang should make an application via the ebanjir.pahang.gov.my website and obtain permission for cross-state travel.
