JAKARTA, Jan 14 -- Indonesia continues to record a surge in COVID-19 new cases with the number reaching 11,557 from 11,278 yesterday.
According to data available on the official website of the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Management at covid19.go.id. today, the total number of cases in the republic rose to 869,600.
The cumulative number of deaths from the viral infection has, meanwhile, reached 25,246 after 295 more were recorded within a period of 24 hours.
Jakarta province still has the highest number of infection cases, with 217,893 including 3,165 new cases.
