Its governor Kraisorn Wisitwong said all 23 districts in the province were hit by floods which had affected about 500,000 people.

In this regard, government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said Prime Minister Prayuth Chan o-cha had instructed the relevant agencies and local authorities to continue monitoring flood-prone areas.

"The prime minister wants the authorities to expedite the aid process and the evacuation of flood victims," he said in a statement.
