SEPANG, Oct 29 -- Police today have classified the case of a burnt body found in the front passenger seat of a burning vehicle in a bush area in Kota Warisan, Sepang early yesterday morning as murder.
Sepang district police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof told the media today that investigations were being carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
In the 3.30 am incident yesterday, a witness contacted the police after hearing an explosion and went to the scene near Jalan Airport City 2, Airport City Business Centre in Kota Warisan.
Wan Kamarul Azran said the male witness who lived in the hostel area about 20 metres from the scene, noticed a fire in the nearby forest area.
He said the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi Fire and Rescue Department extinguished the fire, which led to the discovery of the body in the front passenger seat.
