KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 25  -- Police have crippled the William Gang - actively involved in the theft of luxury cars around the capital for the past 13 years - following the recent arrest of 10 of its members.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin said all the suspects, aged 17 to 66, including a woman, were detained in a raid carried out from Sept 8 until yesterday around the Klang Valley, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan and Pahang.

"This group targets luxury vehicles which are then delivered to a store in an industrial area in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan to be cannibalised," he said during a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur Contingent Police Headquarters today.
