KUALA PERLIS, Aug 12 -- A married couple who removed their COVID-19 quarantine wristbands to go buy groceries out of the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) area were arrested today.

Kangar district police chief Supt Wari Kiew said the husband, aged 54 and his 65-year-old wife were nabbed at Jalan Simpang Empat-Kuala Sanglang roadblock while riding a motorcycle back home to Kampung Kuala Sanglang at 3.30 pm.

"They were nabbed after behaving in a suspicious manner. After questioning them, they admitted to removing their quarantine tags, claiming they suffered allergy reactions from wearing them.
