KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 -- As people begin their balik kampung journey tonight to be with loved ones for Hari Raya Aidiladha on July 31, PLUS Malaysia Bhd is reporting that traffic volume heading north is growing.
A PLUS spokesman said there is slow-moving traffic from Slim River to Sungkai continuing to Gopeng.
“Traffic is also slow for 11km from the Menora Tunnel to Kuala Kangsar because of a broken-down lorry,” he said.
Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman reported that traffic heading to the east is also slow-moving from the Gombak Toll Plaza to Bukit Tinggi, and from Lentang to the Bentong Toll Plaza.
However, traffic is smooth in both directions on the East Coast Highway (LPT 1 and LPT 2) at the moment.
