KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 -- The Fourth World Intelligence Congress (WIC) kicked off online in Tianjin, China on June 23 with the total number of views reaching 392 million.
WIC in a statement today said the congress themed, ‘Intelligence New Era: Innovation, Energisation and Ecology’, applied the modes of meetings, exhibitions, contests and intelligence experience to hold six cloud events.
“At the summit, representatives from the global intelligence technology industry and academia delivered speeches via video accesses and the congress was presided over by the World Federation of Engineering Organisations chairman, Gong Ke,” it said.
The statement also said that Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) vice-chairman and China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) chairman, Wan Gang highlighted that the congress is a high-end platform for artificial intelligence communication jointly created by Tianjin and CAST.
According to Wan Gang, the congress aimed to open up big data, apply blockchain and innovate in cloud services during the pandemic prevention, promote the development of new industries as well as create a new platform for employment.
WIC said Tianjin would take the initiative to embrace the new era of intelligence, push forward the construction of a pioneer city in the fourth industrial revolution, build itself into an innovative city in intelligent technology and an energisation and ecological city of intelligent development, continuously optimise its business environment, and strengthen cooperation in intelligence fields with various parties from home and abroad.
“Tianjin also has embarked on a new way of innovation-driven development with the intelligence technology industry as the lead, and Tianjin Intelligent Port shows a promising future,” the statement added.
