KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 -- Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) is offering you the chance to win RM10,000 if your bench design is chosen for replication in eight of its nine MRT Putrajaya Line underground stations.
The call for submissions for the ‘TRANSEAT – MRT Putrajaya Line Underground Stations Bench Design Competition’ from June 1- July 31 is open to all Malaysians except MRT Corp, MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd and MMC Gamuda KVMRT (T) Sdn Bhd employees.
“Design industry professionals, non-professionals as well as students are welcome to take part,” said project director, Datuk Amiruddin Ma'aris, in a statement today of the line which is scheduled to be fully operational in 2023.
This is the second time MRT Corp is holding the contest in partnership with the Malaysia Design Council (MRM) and Malaysian Association of Industrial Designers (Pereka) after its first one in 2015 and 2016 for the MRT Kajang Line (previously named the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line).
