IPOH, 27 Mei -- Four men who went for drinks at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Canning Estate here last night ended up being arrested.
Ipoh District Police Chief ACP A.Asmadi Abdul Aziz said in the raid conducted by a team from the Perak Contingent Police Headquarters Crime Investigation Department at 11.30 p.m., one of the men arrested was the 44-year-old supervisor of the entertainment centre.
He said when police arrived, the man was opening the door of the premises and admitted that he was the supervisor and caretaker of the centre.
“Further checks found the other three men, believed to be customers aged 29, 30 and 51 tahun, on the first floor of the centre.
“The four gave unacceptable reasons for being at the premises to have their drinks,” he said when contacted here today.
A.Asmadi said police will obtain a remand order today and the case is being investigated under Section 269 of the Penal Code and the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.
