LABUAN, May 22  -- A total of 70 patients under surveillance (PUS) for COVID-19 at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) quarantine centre here have received Hari Raya goodies from the Labuan Corporation (LC).

Similar goodies were also extended to medical staff on duty at the Labuan Ferry Terminal, who check travellers and workers in the oil and gas sector on a daily basis.

Policemen and military personnel manning roadblocks downtown also received the goodies.

LC chief executive officer Dr Fary Akmal Osman said the contributions were a sign of the Labuan Disaster Management Committee’s appreciation of the sacrifices by frontliners in fighting COVID-19.

"We presented the Hari Raya goodies to those who are still at the quarantine centre to help spread the Hari Raya cheer. We do not want them to feel isolated," said Dr Fary, who is the committee chairman.
