KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 -- To encourage Malaysians to use their time positively during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, Tourism Malaysia or the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) is organising a music video clip competition with a tourism theme.
Tourism Malaysia said, in a statement today, that the competition, from April 18 to 28, offered a unique opportunity for Malaysians to showcase their talents and creativity in promoting tourism in Malaysia without having to leave their homes.
The statement said the participation could be in a group or individually, and participants could choose from three categories: singing, playing musical instruments or performing sketches about tourism in Malaysia.
Each music video must also use the 'Cuti Cuti Malaysia' or 'Visit Truly Asia Malaysia' songs which could be downloaded from Tourism Malaysia's official website.
“Participation is free and open to all Malaysians in the hope of encouraging Malaysians to promote tourism products in Malaysia by using social media.
“The three selected winners will bring home a three-day and two-night tour package that includes round-trip tickets, lodging and transfers and tours. Winners can choose their own travel destination in Malaysia, ”the statement said.
