KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 -- Machang Member of Parliament and former Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub has been appointed as the Malaysian Palm Oil Board’s (MPOB) new chairman, effective April 8, 2020.
In a statement today, MPOB said Ahmad Jazlan succeeded Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh who served until March 31, 2020.
The appointment was announced by the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Dr Khairuddin Aman Razali.
MPOB director-general Dr Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir said the management is confident that Ahmad Jazlan's experience would help to boost the sustainable development of the palm oil industry.
