NILAI, April 6 -- Fifty-five individuals, comprising Malaysians and their dependents, as well as non-citizens who arrived in the country from Tehran, Iran, last March 22, completed their quarantine period today and were allowed to go home.
The 46 Malaysians, eight Singaporeans and an Indonesian citizen, comprising 29 men and 26 women, were in quarantine for 14 days at the monitoring centre at the National Audit Academy in Bandar Enstek.
They included Malaysian Ambassador to Iran Datuk Rustam Yahaya.
According to a National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) representative, 42 of them, including the Indonesian national, were fetched from the centre by their family members who were issued with permission letter to pass through the MCO roadblocks.The Indonesian is a woman who is married to a Malaysian.
Five others were sent to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, Subang, for their flight home to Kelantan dan Kedah, while the eight Singaporeans left home in a bus which was arranged by the Singapore Embassy in Malaysia.
