KUALA TERENGGANU, March 31 -- The enforcement of a rotation system based on vehicle registration numbers to limit the number of vehicles on the road across Terengganu, scheduled to begin tomorrow, has been postponed.
Terengganu police, in a statement on Facebook, announced the postponement to allow for a detailed study to be carried out first.
Earlier today, Terengganu police had asked the public to check the last digit of their vehicle registration number - on whether it was odd or even - before leaving the house.
The rule was slated to begin with only vehicles with an odd last digit allowed on the streets on April 1 followed by even-numbered vehicles the following day, and so on, during the second phase of the Movement Control Order.
