27/03/2020 05:51 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 -- Two cargo flights transporting medical supplies donated by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation for the fight against COVID-19 arrived in Malaysia yesterday.

The supplies arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Malaysia Airlines aircraft and comprised face masks, testing kits, protective suits and face shields.

“The medical supplies will also be routed to three other South-East Asian countries that are fighting to contain the virus," Malaysia Airports said via its official Twitter account, @MY_Airports, today.

It added that since the outbreak, KLIA has been playing an instrumental role in the delivery and distribution of e-commerce goods and medical supplies to various countries in the region.

"Distribution to other countries taps on the cross-border logistics capabilities of the first Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP) hub in the world," it said.
