IPOH, Dec 24 (Bernama) — Fans of ‘Hantu Kak Limah’ (HKL) will be overjoyed with the news that the film has been made into a musical theatre show, spurred by its box office collections of RM36.2 million.
Assistant director of the musical theatre, Saifullah Khaisas said the stage performance is different from the film.
“A theatre musical performance requires the actor to say his dialogue, sing and dance in front of the audience. This would be one of the challenges the actors have to face,” he told reporters at a pre-screening of the Kak Limah Musical Theatre held at the Movie Animation Park Studio (MAPS), here last night.
The shows for the musical, directed by HKL director Mohammad Mohd Khalid, who is more popularly known as Mamat Khalid, will be held from today until Dec 31.
The one-hour theatre show includes a line-up of artistes like Hazama Azmi, Aziz M.Osman, Zahid Tajuddin (Ropie Cecupak), Zulkifli Daud (Joey) and Miera Leyana Kasmi.
Saifullah said tickets will be sold at MAPS for RM90 each.
