Top Voices Malaysia gathers local Linkedin members

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 21 (Bernama) -- Top Voices Malaysia (TVM) held its inaugural talk themed ‘New You’ with the objective of sharing experiences and developing interpersonal skills, among others, at a hotel, here, yesterday.

A total of 145 people, mostly LinkedIn members from Malaysia and who are from different professional and academic backgrounds such as undergraduates, job seekers, young corporate executives and business owners attended the talk.  

TVM is a movement pioneered by a group of 50 most influential people on LinkedIn Malaysia who have expertise in different professional skills which they claim to have received at least 250,000 views.

Among their expertise are career progression, interpersonal skills, interview skills, speaking engagement, personal finance, personal branding, social entrepreneurship, building network and starting up business.

TVM aims to help job-seekers, working individuals, as well as business owners to capitalise and maximise their skills to excel.

LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business community that allows its members to establish their professional profiles and build networks.

The talk featured six speakers with at least 15 to 25 years of own niche experience, namely G.D. Naidu, Koh Mui Han, Faisal Malik, Hanie Razaif-Bohlender, Noor Shahiwan Ismail and Shadaitul Intan M Zain who shared their stories and experiences, and importantly how to take immediate action.

“Unless you know your true north, you will always wonder what makes you happy,” Hanie Razaif-Bohlender said.   

Noor Shahiwan who spoke on how social entrepreneurship and business could be done together said: “Social entrepreneurship is about connecting your brand’s why with how it can be used authentically to serve the world.”
