Rukun Negara-guided Racial Harmony, Political Stability Drive Investment Inflows - Zulkifli

02/06/2026 05:47 PM

PUTRAJAYA, June 2 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s economic prosperity and strong inflow of investments are the result of racial harmony and political stability guided by the principles of the Rukun Negara, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan.

Zulkifli, in a post on his Facebook page today, said Malaysians, particularly Muslims, should be grateful for the blessings bestowed by Allah SWT and pray that the country does not face the same challenges as other nations grappling with global supply crises.

“The Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) and I respectfully uphold the decree and advice of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, that all Malaysians should embrace the principles of the Rukun Negara to safeguard the unity that forms the foundation of the nation’s strength.

“His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim’s decree further reinforces the call made by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, and serves as proof that the Malay Rulers are deeply concerned about issues affecting the people and relations among the country's various communities,” he said.

In this regard, he urged all Malaysians to heed the King’s decree and return to the principles of the Rukun Negara so that the country may continue to enjoy peace and progress for the benefit of all.

Sultan Ibrahim, in his royal address at the investiture ceremony for the Federal awards, honours and medals held in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration at Istana Negara yesterday, called on all Malaysians to embrace the principles of the Rukun Negara and make them a guide in their daily lives.
