PORT DICKSON, Sept 6 (Bernama) -- A 69-year-old woman died early this morning after her car collided with a factory bus at Dataran Segar, here.
Port Dickson police chief Supt Maslan Udin said preliminary investigations found that the crash occurred at 5.30 am at a traffic light junction, when the bus, travelling from Port Dickson to Seremban, collided with the victim’s car, which was coming from Dataran Segar towards Lukut.
“As a result of the crash, the 69-year-old victim suffered severe head injuries and died while receiving treatment at the emergency zone of Port Dickson Hospital, while the 41-year-old bus driver escaped unharmed,” he said in a statement today.
Maslan stated that both vehicles have been seized for inspection by Puspakom, adding that investigators are obtaining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the scene to assist in the investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
