SEPANG, July 9 (Bernama) -- Two out of four suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a private university student in Cyberjaya on June 24 will be charged at the Sepang Magistrate's Court tomorrow.

Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said the investigation had been completed and that the Selangor Deputy Public Prosecutor had issued charge orders against the suspects.

“The male suspect is charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, while the female suspect is charged under Section 109/302 of the Penal Code for abetment,” he said.

He added that two other suspects have been released.

Previously, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan reportedly said that with the arrest of four individuals, including the main suspect, who is the boyfriend of the victim’s housemate, the police managed to solve the case within 48 hours.

The victim, a Bachelor of Physiotherapy student from Sarawak, was found dead in her condominium unit in Cyberjaya at 10 am on June 24. She had been staying in the unit with other students, but her housemates reportedly returned to their hometowns for the holidays on June 21.
