CO-OPBANK PERTAMA RECORDS RM30 MLN PROFIT, RM11.5 BLN ASSETS IN 1Q

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- Co-opbank Pertama (CBP) has recorded an encouraging performance in the first quarter (1Q) of 2024 with a profit of RM30 million.

The bank’s total assets amounted to almost RM11.5 billion during the same period.

CBP chief executive officer Khairil Anuar Mohammad Anuar said that for the first three months of this year, the ratio of non-performing loans was still below the industry level of 1.6 per cent and he hoped that this rate would be maintained until the end of the year.

“One of the contributing factors to this success is the use of digital banking via the recently launched HeloCBP application (app), which drives the efficiency of CBP services.

“This HeloCBP app greatly facilitates customers in conducting online banking transactions without needing to go to the counter,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, CBP also plans to launch new products such as Ar Rahnu Flexi, remittance business and hire purchase services, in addition to personal financing to new segments such as private sector employees.
