KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) aims to fund and produce more new Bumiputera talents in technology programmes such as big data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain over the next six years.

Its chief executive officer, Ibrahim Sani, said this is to ensure the country’s workforce is prepared to navigate the complexities of a digital world, following the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) and digital transformations that are reshaping industries.

“As of today, we have benefited 70,000 individuals through our funding programmes, of which 10 per cent, or 7,000 of them, were trained in technology fields.

“…but in the next six years, I want the number coming from these fields to be the biggest that we are offering,” he said during his speech at the Yayasan Peneraju’s Career Conference and Networking Day (CCND) here today.

Ibrahim emphasised Yayasan Peneraju's unwavering commitment to value creation as they progress forward and encouraged their scholars and alumni to embrace continuous learning and skill enhancement, to become professional, business and community leaders.

On today’s career conference and networking day, Ibrahim said it serves as a stepping stone for those in the job monitoring phase seeking new job opportunities, and it acts as a homecoming for the Yayasan Peneraju alumni to share their career experiences and reinforce their bonds.

“Partnerships are the foundations of our organisations, and this event reflects our strong collaboration between Yayasan Peneraju and esteemed partners, united in our ultimate goal to address a larger issue - the low participation and control of the economy by Bumiputera,” he said.

As an agency under the Economy Ministry, Yayasan Peneraju focuses on building and strengthening the capacity building of Bumiputera talents towards greater sustainability.
