PNB TO HOST FLAGSHIP MSAM 2022 IN PORT DICKSON

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has announced that it will once again host its flagship event, Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia 2022 (MSAM 2022), in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

PNB president and group chief executive Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn said that this year’s event, which runs from Nov 24-30, is being held physically once again after being held virtually in 2020 and 2021.

“The event will be maintaining the same focus on investment education delivered in an interactive and infotainment way with the aim to educate and empower Malaysians with knowledge about investment and financial planning,” he said at Majlis Jalinan Rakan Koporat MSAM 2022 at Balai PNB here today.

Ahmad Zulqarnain also said that PNB, as an investment institution, aims to contribute to the economic sustainability of the country, companies and local communities.

“We also strive to increase the financial literacy rate of all citizens,” he said.

In a statement, PNB said MSAM 2022 is packed with investment education activities and exhibitions by about 50 exhibitors from the PNB group of companies, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd’s (ASNB) agents, regulatory bodies and state government agencies.

MSAM 2022 will also be offering visitors various prizes worth more than RM1 million such as a Hyundai Kona electric car, Toyota Corolla Cross, Perodua Alza and many more.

PNB said MSAM 2022 will continue to maintain some of the digital aspects introduced during the virtual events such as e-registration.

Admission is free and PNB is targeting the participation of 150,000 visitors, especially those from around Negeri Sembilan and other nearby locations.

For this year's event, Malayan Banking Bhd, Sime Darby Plantation Bhd and UMW Holdings Bhd are the corporate partners in the Rakan Premier category, said PNB.

Meanwhile, S P Setia Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd, Sime Darby Property Bhd, Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd, MNRB Holdings Bhd and Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd are in the Rakan Utama category.

Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd and Duopharma Biotech Bhd are in the Rakan category.

The role of these corporate partners, as the major contributors to PNB's source of income, will also be showcased to the visitors.

The public can see for themselves the strength of the companies in which their money is invested through unit trusts managed by ASNB, the statement noted.
