TAITRA launches 'Taiwan Modest Fashion And Beauty Online Pop-up Shop'

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 (Bernama) -- The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has virtually launched the ‘Taiwan Modest Fashion and Beauty Online Pop-up Shop’, with the aim to advertise Taiwanese firms and introduce good quality products with a series of activities.

The activities include an online pop-up shop, a “modest fashion” show, a makeup demo, a halal beauty product launch, and one-on-one online business matchmaking, TAITRA said in a statement today.

It said the event was co-organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Taiwan Sweater Industry Association, and the Commerce Development Research Institute.

“The online shop will run until the end of 2022 and the event video is available at: https://modestfashiontaiwan.taiwantrade.com/.

“It showcases more than 35 premium beauty products suppliers from Taiwan.  The Modest Fashion show announced the latest clothes by well-known Taiwanese clothing brand designers such as SABRA ANDRE, GIOIA PAN, and young promising designers from Malaysia and Indonesia,” it added.

TAITRA said the event has been live-streamed in Muslim countries including ASEAN, the Middle East, and even North Africa so that local people could join online.

In April 2017, TAITRA was entrusted by the government to set up the Taiwan Halal Centre and help promote the Taiwanese Halal industry.

After many efforts, Taiwan’s Muslim tourism-friendly image has hit a record high.

This year, it was ranked second among all non-Organisation for Islamic Cooperation countries in terms of Muslim-friendly travel in the Global Muslim Travel Index.
