PRUBSN LAUNCHES COMPREHENSIVE PROTECTION PLAN WITH PRUBSN SINAR

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The number one family takaful operator in Malaysia, Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN) has launched PruBSN Sinar, a total and comprehensive protection for all Malaysians.

PruBSN chief executive officer Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail said the plan is the first in the market that offers mental health coverage as an additional service, besides the Crisis TotalCare (CTC) rider that covers 166 critical illness conditions, special conditions benefit, complementary treatment benefit, and family care benefit.

He said with Crisis TotalCare, customers will receive a lump sum benefit when diagnosed with any one of the covered conditions from early to late stage critical illnesses as well as additional special conditions that include mental health conditions.

Wan Saifulrizal said there has been an increase in awareness about the importance of mental health in achieving global goals as evidenced in the addition of the mental health segment in the Sustainable Development Goals published by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

“Taking into consideration the importance of mental health, especially for those who are going through challenging situations, the mental health coverage for adults and children became an important aspect of PruBSN Sinar plan. We believe that this is the right move to maintain customers' trust in us as their protection partner,” he said in a statement.

 With PruBSN Sinar, customers can also customise their protection plan with the wide range of available additional benefits, such as Medic Protector where they will receive high coverage on selected critical illnesses, and Accidental Protector Plus which provides lump sum benefits in the event of death or total permanent disability caused by accident.

The basic PruBSN Sinar protection plan starts as low as RM50 per month but depends on the amount of coverage and additional benefits selected as well as several other determining factors and through this plan, Malaysians can be protected from as early as 14 years old up to 70 years old with the sum covered starting from RM10,000 up to RM4 million.

What’s more interesting, there is a value-added service which is Islamic spiritual support through collaboration with Darussyifa, the leader of registered Islamic Medicine services that provides traditional and complimentary medicine in Malaysia.

Through this latest offering, PruBSN enables customers to get referrals and appointments to get treatment by experienced nurses registered under the Ministry of Health.
