OK Group aims RM15 mln total export value to Indonesia, India and Dubai this year

20/04/2022 10:58 PM

MELAKA, April 20 (Bernama) -- Health products and herbal-based beverages manufacturer, Kumpulan Syarikat Orang Kampung (OK Group), is targeting to achieve RM15 million in total export value to three markets, namely Indonesia, India and Dubai, this year.

Group managing director Habibul ’Ajmi Manggar said the value targeted is relatively low compared pre-COVID-19 but better than last year as the economies of the three markets were also affected by the pandemic.

“We are targeting each country to be able to achieve an export value of RM5 million through OK Group products such as Longjack X and KF (Kacip Fatimah) Kolagen drinks as well as Teh Herba Orang Kampung which are in high demand in those countries.

“With the opening of borders in most countries, we expect positive developments from foreign markets because in the local market, OK Group’s products are stable and have its target group,” he told reporters after the company’s orphan charity programme here today.

He said there are several new unique products that have been released for overseas markets such as coffee health drink products in the form of sachets to control diabetes, especially for the Dubai market.

On Indonesia, he said OK Group’s subsidiary in the country, Titi Niaga, which opened in 2019, is also in the process of recovery as business activities in the country came to a halt due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Earlier at the event, Habibul ‘Ajmi said a total of 30 orphans and asnafs from three schools around Serkam and Umbai in Jasin were brought to buy Hari Raya clothes and each of them was allocated RM300 including duit raya.

The orphans and asnafs were also celebrated at the breaking fast ceremony.

He said the programme is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and an annual programme that aimed to celebrate orphans and the underprivileged and help them prepare for Hari Raya clothes.
