PMB INVESTMENT RECEIVES GIFA ACCOLADE IN PAKISTAN
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 -- PMB Investment Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Bhd (MARA Investment), has received an award in the Islamic asset management category at the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) 2020 in Islamabad, Pakistan, yesterday.
MARA Investment chairman Datuk Azrulnizam Abdul Aziz said the award supports its approach to retail and institutional investors, which revolves around top-class teams, various internal and third-party products, and a continued commitment to innovation and quality standards.
"We are honoured to receive this award. This is the culmination of our stakeholder's vision, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), the mission of our board of directors and the efforts of our staff,” he said in a statement today.
MARA Investment Group acting chief executive officer, Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin said GIFA represents the highest standard of excellence in recognising governments, institutions and individuals that have contributed to the Islamic financial sector and international banking.
GIFA has been held annually since 2011 to highlight, encourage and reward outstanding performance and contribution to the growth of the global Islamic finance and banking community.
