ALOR SETAR, May 26 (Bernama) -- A total of 300 entrepreneurs under the guidance of the Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) took part in the inaugural 2025 KEDA Entrepreneurs Assembly, aimed at enhancing and empowering their business networks.
Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) deputy minister Datuk Rubiah Wang said the event, which brought together KEDA entrepreneurs from various business clusters, is part of efforts to strengthen entrepreneur development, especially in rural areas.
“This gathering is held in conjunction with KEDA’s 44th anniversary. Its objective is to introduce the latest marketing techniques via digital platforms and social media, enabling entrepreneurs to identify the right business entities and customer segments to optimise the sales of their products or services.
“In addition, it also helps build effective business networks through partnerships and collaborations, while also creating a strong brand reputation among entrepreneurs through the recognition initiative,” she told reporters after officiating the event today.
Also present were KEDA chairman Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom and KEDA general manager Afifah Omar.
At the event, KEDA also held the KEDA Entrepreneur Awards, and 15 awards were presented to entrepreneurs who demonstrated outstanding performance, and business growth, as well as having contributed to their local communities.
