KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 (Bernama) -- Actor Ezzaq Farouq Harahap Jamaludin, better known as Cico Harahap, the son of veteran singer Uji Rashid, died at Ampang Hospital at 11 am today.
Malaysian Veteran Artists Welfare Association (PKAVM) president Sandakiah Azez said Cico, 48, had been admitted to the hospital last week after experiencing breathing difficulties.
She said his remains were still at the hospital while the family made the necessary arrangements.
"The family is making the necessary arrangements. We have yet to receive confirmation of the time for the funeral prayers and burial," she told Bernama when contacted.
Sandakiah said the remains would be taken to Surau Taman Bukit Mulia, Bukit Antarabangsa for funeral prayers.
Throughout his career, Cico appeared in several popular local films and dramas, including Mami Jarum, Mistik, Potret Mistik, Dollah Superstar and Jutawan Fakir.
