KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed his condolences to Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib and his family over the passing of his mother, the late Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar, today.
In a Facebook post, Ahmad Zahid said he and his wife were also saddened by the news and managed to contact the Pahang Investment, Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation Committee Chairman personally to offer their condolences.
“Losing a mother is not an easy thing to go through. We pray that Nizar and his entire family are granted strength and perseverance in facing this time of deep sorrow.
“May Allah SWT forgive all sins of the deceased, shower Her with His mercy, and place her soul among the believers and the righteous. Al-Fatihah,” he said.
Tengku Puteri Zainah, 70, passed away at a hospital in the capital city today.
