Royal Selangor Unveils Its Autumn/winter 2026 Collections

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 (Bernama) -- Royal Selangor has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 collections, introducing new designs that blend traditional cultural motifs with contemporary aesthetics across home decor, collectibles and, for the first time, pet accessories.

Launched at The Hanging Gardens here yesterday, the collections feature new product ranges and extensions of existing lines, reflecting the company’s continued exploration of design opportunities while preserving its pewter craftsmanship heritage, said Royal Selangor managing director Datuk Yong Yoon Li.

“The new range that we have this season, the first one would be Crane, which I think really captures this whole spirit of new and old,” he said.

Inspired by the red-crowned crane, traditionally associated with longevity, fidelity and wisdom, the collection features decorative home objects incorporating 24K gilt accents and flowing forms that reinterpret the bird's symbolism through contemporary design.

Yong said Pawse marked the company's entry into the pet accessories category, with designs inspired by South African textiles and Malaysian batik.

“We have been working with the designer for about a year and a bit now, trying to fine-tune what we think would be a great introduction to a new product category,” he said, referring to the development of the Pawse range.

Another highlight is Telepuk, a collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum that reinterprets traditional Malay textile gilding in contemporary decorative pieces incorporating archived Selangorian woodblock motifs.

The other releases include Benevolence II, featuring mythical guardians by sculptor Xu Xiao Yong; the Year of the Goat collection with 24K gilding; Zodiac III miniatures; and Joy, which reinterprets artist Eng Tay's sculptures depicting human tenderness.

The pop culture portfolio features a Disney Formula 1 collection and an exclusive Disney F1 BE@RBRICK 400 per cent collaboration with MEDICOM TOY, with further additions to the Marvel and Harry Potter franchises to be announced.

“At Royal Selangor, we like to think of ourselves as a bit like the crane. We travel far, try to see what we can see but always come home,” he said.

He added that the company's craftspeople played a key role in translating its design philosophy into finished products by combining new ideas with established skills and knowledge passed down through generations.

The Autumn/Winter 2026 collections are available from this month at Royal Selangor retail stores worldwide, authorised stockists and through its website at royalselangor.com.
