MELAKA, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Paya Rumput state seat Datuk Azman Abidin said social media enables voters to assess the credibility and capabilities of candidates, including newcomers, before making their choice.
He said voters could check the track records and experience of all three newcomers, including himself, contesting the seat in the Melaka state election.
“Everyone can look at my track record and experience and I believe this will help. If I am entrusted with the mandate, I can use my experience to help the people of Paya Rumput,” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after a community outreach programme at Taman Paya Rumput Permai, which was also attended by PH Communications Director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.
Azman, who is the political secretary to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said he was grateful for the positive response from residents since he began his campaign activities today.
He hoped the positive response would translate into votes on Nov 14, polling day for the Melaka state election, with early voting scheduled for Nov 10.
