Gov't Recognises Courier Workers' Dedication, Sacrifices - Fahmi

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- The government appreciates the dedication and hard work of courier workers in ensuring parcels are delivered safely to their recipients, said Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.

He said behind every parcel delivered to a doorstep was the effort of courier personnel who braved various challenges, including hot weather, rain and traffic congestion, to ensure smooth deliveries.

"We greatly appreciate your hard work, commitment and service every day.

"May every journey be smooth and, most importantly, may you always be protected and stay safe while carrying out your duties," he said in a Facebook post today.

Fahmi also extended his National Courier Day greetings to all courier workers nationwide.

Meanwhile, Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching said courier workers continued the traditional role of letters as a means of connecting families, friends and business communities.

She said their role went beyond delivering letters and parcels, as they also conveyed messages and hopes while strengthening relationships among Malaysians.

"They ensure every letter and parcel reaches us safely, regardless of rain or shine," she said in a Facebook post.

Teo also expressed appreciation for their dedication and sacrifices, reminding them to always prioritise road safety while carrying out their duties.

National Courier Day is observed on Nov 1 each year to recognise the contributions of courier personnel, who form an integral part of the country's delivery and logistics ecosystem, meeting public needs and supporting economic activities.
