Melaka Chief Minister Completes DBA Through APEL.Q

MELAKA, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ab Rauf Yusoh has successfully completed his two-year Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme through the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Qualification (APEL.Q) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). 

In a Facebook post today, Ab Rauf said UKM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Sufian Jusoh personally presented him with the official letter confirming the UKM Senate’s approval, accompanied by a university delegation, during their visit to his residence in Masjid Tanah here last night. 

Ab Rauf said his research, entitled ‘Digital Technology Management Among Traditional Village Communities: An Analysis of the Melaka Digital Village Initiative’, focused on how traditional village communities could harness digital technology to navigate the wave of digital transformation. 

“To me, knowledge is not merely about obtaining a degree, but must be translated into benefits and change for the people. 

“I dedicate this Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) achievement to the people of Melaka. This is not merely a personal accomplishment, but a tribute to Melaka and a commitment on my part to continue strengthening the Digital Village initiative for the future of the people,” he said in the post. 

Ab Rauf also expressed his appreciation to the entire UKM community, lecturers and research team for their guidance, support and cooperation throughout the completion of his research. 

He said the study’s findings would also be published in a journal to serve as a reference and source of inspiration for future generations, particularly in advancing the digitalisation agenda among rural communities.
