KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Bernama) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) is exploring a collaboration with the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) to expand efforts to strengthen public financial literacy, especially to encourage Malaysians to save and invest.
PNB president and group chief executive Datuk Rizal Rickman Ramli said collaborating with the national news agency is important as Bernama has an extensive coverage network throughout Malaysia.
“We can collaborate (with Bernama) to reach out to communities across the country, especially those who still have a limited understanding of saving and accumulating savings,” he said to Bernama after visiting Wisma Bernama here today.
In addition, Rizal said the collaboration with Bernama also includes disseminating information on the impact of PNB’s investments in local and foreign companies.
PNB’s visit to Wisma Bernama today aimed to understand Bernama’s role better and explore potential collaborations to highlight PNB’s agenda.
The PNB delegation also visited several departments at Wisma Bernama, including Bernama Radio, Bernama TV, and the Bernama Editorial Department.
Also accompanying the visit were Bernama’s chief executive officer, Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin; chief editor, Arul Rajoo Durar Raj; deputy chief editor of Economic News Service, Harlina Samson; and deputy chief editor of News Service, Mohd Shukri Ishak.
