KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Pansar Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Perbena Emas Sdn Bhd, has accepted a letter of acceptance from KKB Engineering Bhd for civil and structural subcontract works worth RM170.86 million.

The project pertains to the second phase of the water infrastructure upgrade in Samalaju, part of the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE), said Pansar in a Bursa Malaysia filing today.

“The scope of work involves civil and structural works for the construction and completion of buildings and infrastructure for a 160 million litres per day (MLD) raw water intake and pumping mains, a 120 MLD water treatment plant and the associated facilities,” it said.

The contract period is 36 months, and work is scheduled to begin next month.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group as the project progresses during the contract period,” said Pansar, adding that none of its directors, major shareholders or persons connected to them have any direct or indirect interest in the contract.
