KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli is determined to build positive momentum by collecting valuable points at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix (GP) scheduled at the Phillip Island Circuit in Victoria from October 23–25.
Hakim Danish said it is important for him to put on a positive riding display before carrying home fans' hopes at the 2026 Malaysian GP at the Sepang International Circuit from October 30 to November 1.
"My preparation ahead of the Australian GP is going well, and I am very excited to race at Phillip Island because this circuit is still new to me.
"I am also looking forward to competing there because, looking at the layout, I think it is very interesting. I am eagerly awaiting the first practice session this Friday," he said in a statement today.
The iconic circuit is well-known for its high-speed corners and unpredictable weather conditions, which demand thorough preparation and a high level of consistency throughout the race weekend.
The 19-year-old AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi team rider currently sits in ninth place after collecting 107 points in the 2026 championship standings, behind championship leader Maximo Quiles of Spain, who represents the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team with 351 points.
So far this season, Hakim Danish has emerged as a race winner once, following his success at the Czech Republic GP at the Brno Circuit last June.
