Various Free Services, Activities Await Visitors At PMK Kepayang 2026 Tomorrow

IPOH, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- Free helmet exchanges, motorcycle engine oil changes and hair cuts are among the interesting offers awaiting visitors to tomorrow’s MADANI Kita Programme (PMK) Kepayang 2026 at Dewan Greentown here.

The Perak Information Department (JAPEN) said the one-day programme, themed "Memaknai Harapan Rakyat", would be held in the Kepayang state constituency from 7.30 am to 6 pm to strengthen the direct delivery of public services to the people.

“The programme also offers a range of free services and assistance from various government agencies, providing direct benefits to visitors’ daily economic needs.

“This platform also serves as an effective two-way communication channel for disseminating official information on current issues, while opening the opportunity for public to convey their views, raise questions and give feedback directly to the government,” it said in a statement today.

As part of the programme, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) will provide 400 free helmets to be exchanged by visitors during the morning and afternoon sessions, while the Civil Defence Volunteers Corps (RELA) team from the Kinta Utara district will provide free engine oil changes for 100 motorcycles as well as complimentary haircuts.

Visitors will also be able to access health and dental screenings, seedling distribution, checks on unclaimed money, the distribution of RAHMAH MADANI food baskets, as well as services to open and top up Simpan SSPN accounts at the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) counter.

Perak PTPTN will also offer a free RM200 incentive under the Perak Children’s Education Savings Fund (TASPEN) for those born in Perak, in addition to special souvenirs and consultations services for checking and repaying education loans.

In addition, the RAHMAH Sales and Agro MADANI Sales programmes organised by the Perak branch of the Ministry of Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) will be held from 8 am to 5 pm specifically for Malaysians, offering savings on various essential goods, including rice, cooking oil, Grade C eggs, chicken, meat and fresh fish.

Various recreational and arts activities have also been lined up, including Senam Seni; an e-sports competition; colouring contests for children and families; Bintang Kecil; a national awareness quiz with the Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM); floral arrangement; and the preparation of pulut kuning (yellow glutinous rice).

Visitors will also be able to enjoy performances by PENTARAMA artistes and attend “Pocket Talk” sessions on Budget 2027 by JAPEN, road safety by JPJ and the Home Ministry’s (KDN) “Pocket Talk: Jom Exchange Al-Quran” initiative.

The programme will also be enlived by the participation of Perak Communications, Multimedia and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi, who is scheduled to visit three homes under the Ziarah Kasih initiative, participate in Sesi Sembang Santai (an informal chat session) with the public, and present RAHMAH food baskets and the grand lucky draw prize.

The informal chat session will provide an opportunity for friendly interaction between the leader and the local community, serving as an important platform to hear their concerns, understand their needs and gather grassroots feedback on issues affecting their daily lives

“Perak JAPEN hopes that the MADANI Kita Programme will continue to serve as a key platform for strengthening ties between the government and the people.

“This initiative is expected to broaden access to official government information while ensuring that public service delivery remains centred on the needs and overall well-being of the community,” it added.
