KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his condolences to Bersama leader Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad on the passing of his father, Nik Ahmad Nik Hassan, at the age of 96 today
In a Facebook post, Anwar said he was saddened by the news and prayed that Nik Nazmi and his family would be granted strength and fortitude to cope with their loss.
“My condolences to former Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, who has reportedly just lost his beloved father, the late Nik Ahmad Nik Hassan.
“I pray that Nik and his family will be granted strength and fortitude during this difficult time, and that his father’s soul will be forgiven and granted a special place by Allah,” he said.
Earlier, Bersama spokesperson Ibrahim Sani announced the passing and conveyed his condolences to Nik Nazmi and the family.
Bersama president and former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli also extended his condolences, praying that the deceased’s soul would receive Allah’s mercy and be placed among the faithful.
