LTAT, Group Companies Contribute RM420,000 To Tabung Pahlawan Campaign

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- The Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT), together with its group companies, contributed RM420,000 to the 2026/2027 Tabung Pahlawan campaign, a 17 per cent increase from RM360,000 last year.

The contribution was presented by LTAT chairman Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin at the launch of the 2026/2027 Tabung Pahlawan campaign at Wisma Perwira here, officiated by the campaign’s patron Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The ceremony was also attended by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, LTAT said in a statement today.

“The campaign organised by the Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Affairs Department (MAF JHEV) aims to assist veterans in need, particularly those who are bedridden, infirm and from low-income backgrounds.

“The Tabung Pahlawan fund is used to meet daily needs, provide medical equipment and extend emergency assistance to ease the burden on these veterans,” LTAT said.

In the same statement, LTAT chief executive Datuk Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi said the board’s mandate extends beyond fund management to encompass efforts to strengthen social protection and the well-being of MAF personnel, particularly veterans and their families.

“LTAT also calls on Malaysians, institutions and the corporate sector to join hands in supporting the Tabung Pahlawan campaign, as every contribution, regardless of the amount, can make a meaningful difference to veterans in need,” he said.

“Contributions to the campaign can be made to the Tabung Rayuan Hari Pahlawan account at Affin Islamic Bank, account number 1059 5000 3201,” LTAT said.
