KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- PKR is finalising its list of candidates who will contest in the 16th Melaka State Election on Nov 14, said its vice-president Datuk Seri R. Ramanan.
He said the announcement of the candidates representing the party in the state election could be made within the next two or three weeks.
“So far, we are in the process of finalising the candidates who will contest in Melaka,” he said when commenting on PKR’s preparations for the Melaka state election after the launch of MyBakat Week organised by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) here today.
Yesterday, the Election Commission (EC) set Nov 14 as polling day for the 16th Melaka state election, while nomination of candidates will be on Oct 31 and early voting on Nov 10.
In the 2021 Melaka state election, Barisan Nasional (BN) won 21 of the 28 seats contested to form the state government, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) won five seats and Perikatan Nasional (PN) two.
