MELAKA, Oct 8 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Kita Programme (PMK) 2026 with the Paya Rumput @ Tangga Batu community will be held at the Krubong People’s Housing Programme (PPR) Community Hall this Saturday.

Southern Zone Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director Muhammad Asri Ibrahim said the programme, which is expected to draw about 2,000 PPR residents, aims to ensure that the MADANI Government’s policies and initiatives are communicated clearly, accurately and in a way that is easy to understand.

He said the outreach programme, themed ‘Memaknai Harapan Rakyat’, will run from 8 am to 4 pm and is expected to be launched by Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil.

“Some people have voiced concerns that while they hear about various initiatives implemented by the MADANI Government, they do not feel the benefits themselves.

“Besides ensuring that people receive information, we also want them to be able to engage directly with the ministries, departments and government agencies involved, making the programme a platform for the government and the people to meet and interact more closely, face-to-face,” he told reporters after appearing as a guest on the ‘Kokenut Shake Dulu’ programme on Melakafm here today.

Muhammad Asri said the PMK 2026 with the Paya Rumput @ Tangga Batu community would involve more than 30 government agencies, departments and ministries, providing various benefits to the local community and making it easier for them to access the services available.

He said it was the first programme of its kind to be held in Melaka and would be expanded to ensure that more local communities could benefit from the various initiatives introduced by the MADANI Government.

Among the initiatives available to visitors are health services, MyDigital ID registration, Unclaimed Money checks and the replacement of MyKad with the New Generation MyKad.

“Jualan Rahmah MADANI and Jualan Agro MADANI will also be held, giving the community an opportunity to purchase various essential goods at affordable prices.

“Other activities include community fun games, the Community Penalty Shootout League, interactive dam haji games and a Car Autoshow competition,” he said.

He said the programme would also feature free helmet exchanges, free motorcycle engine oil changes and free haircuts, as well as the distribution of free seeds and seedlings.
